About Me
I am a multidisciplinary artist and writer from Atlanta, Georgia. My design story begins as a young girl, obsessed with miniatures and stage sets. My interest progressed to painting interior landscapes and playing The Sims. My focus shifted from just decorating, to exploring how behavior is effected within any given environment. I found that Interior Design was my inevitable career destination, as it allows me to transform any environment into an unforgettable experience.
Awarded: Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art - Agnes Scott College
Pursuing: Masters of Arts in Interior Design - Fairfield University
My approach to design is curatorial. I always consider the project as a whole, and I prioritize functional and aesthetic cohesion. I am whimsical in spirit, so the ultimate goal is to inspire a sense of wonderment within those experiencing my designs. Every element in the environment is intended to unravel, revealing itself through engagement. Inhabitants become immersed in the process of discovery, communicating intentionality of concept.
I believe that I am heavily influenced by my experience in the performing arts, specifically Theatre and Show Choir. Setting the stage, determining the marks, and building the set were my favorite parts of the performance, as they ultimately fuel the narrative being communicated. I’m also a fan of good storytelling and fairytale motifs.
As a designer, I would like the opportunity to reimagine the world. I would like to create spaces that are more than just smartly designed or commercially appealing. I want to immerse people into the possibilities “world building” provides.
