The Monologue

A few weeks ago,  I visited a local middle school and I had an interesting conversation with the school’s librarian. We worked together for a good bit of the day and I noticed that almost no one, not even teachers, visited the library. The entire space felt lifeless, empty and isolated. When I asked her about this, she revealed that not only does no one visit the library but most of the books were goin untouched until the district ultimately re-homed them.  An entire space i
